JAMESY has recently had some major recognition by PAUL VAN DYK...
After Jamesy passed a copy of his latest mix CD "Delta Paradise"
onto him at a recent Slinky night, he then played the first 4 tracks of the
mix CD the following week on Fritz FM for his "Soundgarden" radio
show in Germany [18/9/02].
SLINKY
Whilst Jamesy spent some time at University in Cambridge he managed to land
himself a warm up set for John 00 Fleming & Rob Tissera at a Slinky UK
Club Tour event held at the Cambridge University end of term Ball in November
2001, which was a 2000 capacity event and has been his biggest gig to date.
THE BRUNEL ROOMS
Jamesy first started playing out properly when he was 19, he managed to get
a weekly warm up set for Thursday nights at The Brunel Rooms (Swindon's biggest
club - 1600 Capacity) where he was a lighting engineer at the time. From then
on his talent was recognised and was offered a Friday night residency in March
2001, to play the first friday of every month for "SERIOUS".
Serious Promotions ran this night up until December 2001, so he got to play
alongside some of the biggest DJ's in the country, or fill in for any of them
when they were either late or did not turn up, which is when Jamesy was really
able to prove his skill on the decks.
Now on Fridays he plays for "UNITY", which is the Brunel Rooms
own night. "Unity" is a Trance and Hard House night where he plays
alongside the biggest Hard House DJ's.

John '00' Fleming, Scott Bond, Matt Hardwick, JFK, Judge Jules, Rob Tissera,
Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, John Kelly, Luke Neville, Lisa Pin-up and The Disco
Brothers to name but a few.
He has also played at Havoc in Bristol with Dan Pearce (Sundissential), and
plays at various house and private parties.
HISTORY
Jamesy has always been into dance music since very early on in the nineties,
but never really got stuck into anything particular until he first heard some
rave tapes. "I was around 13 and straight away got into the scene listening
to DJ's like SY, Hype, Randall and Kenny Ken, being fascinated by the music,
mixing and scratching." Then he blagged his first set of decks (off the
trusty parents) when he was 15 and has now been DJing for just over 6 years."
Jamesy is passionate for all types of music, but what he loves to play most is Progressive/Uplifting & Hard Trance, although he really enjoys playing Funky and Progressive House aswell. On the odd occassion you might find him spinning out some Drum & Bass and performing his scratching techniques like his Old Skool idols!
THE FUTURE
With Jamesy's unique talent of mixing the best Trance and building his sets,
he plans to keep progressing himself as an up and coming DJ, and play at more
and more clubs around the country, then possibly abroad. Also in the pipeline
is his ambition to eventually promote his own House/Trance night and is currently
working on producing top music as well as DJ.
